Hello Folks! I finally got the pics from Tom's Retirement Party on here.
I'll tell you how I managed to pull this off without him knowing. Jason & Dacia were going to come here for New Year's so I planned to have it when they were here. We all got together at my Mom's house to eat, play games etc. Well I mentioned to everyone about going out to eat the next day which was Friday (the day of the party). So they all agreed to go out to Ponderosa (where the party was). So the next day was Friday the big day. We did our usual things during the day so he wouldn't suspect anything. My sister Linda and her husband were up here for the party also. So anyways, Linda was able to pick up the cake and get to Ponderosa early to decorate. Janae, Dacia's sister came up with them so her and Sarah went with them to decorate. They told Tom that they were going to Walmart to get some stuff, but by the time they got the cake they didn't have time to go to Walmart. They told him they were going to Walmart so he wouldn't get suspicous of them being gone so long. So finally it was time to go to the party. I was able to get the banquet room at Ponderosa. So we got to Ponderosa and everyone was back there in the banquet room waiting for us to come in. I had invited some church people to the party. So we went to the banquet room and when we walked in everyone said "SURPRISE!" . He didn't even suspect a thing! I thought he was going to get suspious but he didn't! I was so glad that everything worked out perfectly. He told me not to have anything on him but I thought he deserved something for going to a job that he disliked for 30 years. We played a game at the party called How Well Do You Know Tom Schwab? Krysta got the most answers right.
Tom is enjoying retirement very much! We finally made it!!
